Jenna Jacobs has traveled to the East Coast and the Midwest for her education, but has always called Houston, TX home. She was introduced to fiber media during her undergraduate studies at Lamar University and continued studying at Indiana University.
Jacobs enjoys social dance and sees connections to the structure of footwork and the rhythmic quality of her pieces. Some of her artistic influences include MC Esher, Sol leWitt, El Anatsui, and Morton C. Bradley.
Jacobs has exhibited in Indiana, Missouri, and Texas. She has coordinated group exhibits in Bloomington, Indiana. She has been a resident artist at the Craft Alliance Center of Art + Design. Jacobs also has a career in education. For the last 5 years she has taught middle school and college level art.
